In brantôme each friday morning and tuesday (in july and august) there is a market with local produce. there are numerous shops and businesses: restaurants, bakers, butchers, newsagents, cafés, tobacconist, supermarket, banks, etc. you can visit the benedictine abbey with its cloisters, church and bell tower which is the oldest in france and the museum. the troglodyte tour, the monks' garden. nôtre-dame church as well as many other places of interest.
