Sometimes we come across small but beautifully kept campsites which seem to have been a well kept secret, and les valades certainly fits the bill. set on a hillside overlooking countryside between the dordogne and vezère rivers each of the 60 touring pitches is surrounded by variety of flowers, shrubs and trees. pitches are flat and grassy, mostly on terraces, all with electricity (10a) and most with individual water and drainage as well. at the bottom of the hill, away from the main area, is the swimming pool, a good sized lake for carp fishing, swimming or canoeing (free canoes).
